Lugansk People’s Republic Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik said that mobile Internet would be available again in the Republic in the near future. “It was shut down solely for the safety of LPR residents and servicemen,” Pasechnik said during a live question and answer session.   “Today, a decision is being made to resume the mobile internet service;  I believe that it would have happened by now had it not been for bad weather. I think that the matter will be settled in the nearest future,” he added.   Earlier, Mobile Communications Systems (MKS) Director Eduard Yegorov said that mobile internet was unavailable across the Lugansk people’s Republic. The MKS company took out the mobile internet service from the cell phone plans on February 11.   ***   Heavy snowfalls, icy roads and packed snow were observed in the Republic on March 30. The next day, at least 182,000 customers, boiler houses and social infrastructure facilities in a number of LPR districts were left without electricity, water and gas supply. Servicemen helped public utilities with snow cleaning and fallen tree disposal. LPR government chairperson Sergey Kozlov is supervising damage control efforts.   Pasechnik ordered to muster all resources to repair the damage caused by the snowfall. Some 300 pieces of equipment and more than 1,000 workers are engaged in the snowfall aftermath cleanup. *i*ie
