Residents of Pervomaisk and the satellite town of Popasnaya will receive more than 183 million rubles in compensation for their homes lost during hostilities, an official said.
“The Town Hall Commission <...> has approved 185 requests for compensation for the homes lost as a result of fighting, including 48 applications from residents of the town of Popasnaya and Popasnaya district,” Pervomaisk mayor Sergey Kolyagin said in a post on Telegram. “The sum of home loss payments reaches 183.8 million rubles; we’re expecting the money to be transferred to the applicants’ accounts.”
On March 2, Kolyagin said that 1,186 residents of the above areas were entitled to payments for the loss of essential property.
The authorities launched hotlines for consultations.
The LPR government earlier said that essential property included refrigerator, gas (electric) stove, cupboard, table, chairs, bed (sofa), TV set (radio), water pump, hot water appliance and boiler (if centralized water and heat supply is unavailable).
