Lugansk People’s Republic Prosecutor General’s Office assisted LPR residents to draft complaints with the ECHR against Ukrainian aggressors, PGO spokeswoman Inna Semyonova said at a press briefing at the Lugansk Media Centre.
"Last week, prosecutors travelled to Slavyanoserbsk and Lugansk Republican Clinic to help draft complaints to the ECHR,” she said.
Four complaints have been prepared: two of them concern property destruction in Sokolniki, one concerns destruction of a vehicle after hitting an explosive device, another one covers bodily damage suffered by a person in May 2015 as a result of explosive device blast, and damage to property and looting by Ukrainian armed forces.
Earlier, she said that the PGO had helped residents of the LPR and Kiev-controlled areas of the Lugansk region, who suffered from Ukrainian army actions, to draw more than 850 complaints to the ECHR.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. Conflict settlement relies on the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, signed on February 12, 2015 in the Belarussian capital by the Contact Group members and coordinated by the Normandy Four heads of states (Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine). The document provides for ceasefire and withdrawal of heavy weapons from the contact line. *t
