Lugansk People’s Republic Prosecutor General’s Office personnel helped three Ukrainian army aggression victims prepare complaints to the European Court of Human Rights over the past week, PGO spokeswoman Inna Semyonova said at a press briefing at the Lugansk Media Centre.
"Last week, prosecutors travelled to Alchesk and the frontline Zolotoye-5 settlements to help three Ukrainian army shelling victims compose complaints to the ECHR,” Semyonova said.
Earlier, she said that the PGO had helped residents of the LPR and Kiev-controlled areas of the Lugansk region, who suffered from Ukrainian army actions, to draw more than 850 complaints to the ECHR.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. Conflict settlement relies on the Package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, signed on February 12, 2015 in the Belarussian capital by the Contact Group members and coordinated by the Normandy Four heads of states (Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine). The document provides for ceasefire and withdrawal of heavy weapons from the contact line. *i*s
