The 146th humanitarian aid convoy of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) has delivered some 173 tons of foodstuffs to Lugansk, the Lugansk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.
“On Monday, June 13, a new EMERCOM convoy delivered relief supplies for Donbass residents to the LPR capital,” the report said. “Seventeen EMERCOM trucks have brought canned meat and fish, sugar, flour and sunflower oil massing 173 tons.”
On June 12, EMERCOM’s 145th convoy delivered foodstuffs and construction materials to Lugansk.
Russia first sent relief supplies to the LPR on August 22, 2014.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The members of the Contact Group on conflict settlement have announced ceasefire more than 20 times since the autumn of 2014. Kiev forces regularly violated the truce opening fire with large caliber artillery, mortars and tank guns which were to have been withdrawn from the contact line under the accords. *i*s
