The Russian Transport Ministry plans to integrate the major roads in the new regions into the federal network, the Lugansk People’s Republic government press service reported.   The federal portal of legal acts posted a draft resolution on “amending the list of public roads,” the press service said.   “The Transport Ministry intends to integrate the trunk roads of the new regions into the federal network,” the press service said. “According to the document, the Ministry will operate and maintain the roads linking Lugansk, Donets and Mariupol, Kantemirovka and Lugansk and Mariupol and Melitopol.”   Two Russian trunk roads will be extended to the territory of the new regions; one of them will be named “Novorossiya.   The list of roads will be updated by adding new ones in the territory of the LPR, DPR and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. Russian indices will be assigned to them. For example, the Belgorod-Starobelsk-Lugansk-Donetsk road will be indexed as P-150.   The Lugansk People’s Republic became a part of Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
