Russian army units have repelled four attacks by Kiev forces in the Chervonaya Dibrova village area and seized several enemy strongpoints on the Svatovo axis over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
The Sergeyevka village in the Svatovo district was liberated from Kiev forces earlier this week. Russian troops then advanced by up to 12 kilometers along the frontline and three kilometers deep into Ukrainian army defense lines.
“On the Krasny Liman axis, Task Force “Center” units in the Chervonaya Dibrova settlement area in the Lugansk People’s Republic repelled four attacks on 90th Tank Brigade 228th Motorized File Regiment positions by the Ukrainian army’s 67th Mechanized Brigade,” the report said. In the Sergeyevka area, 2nd Army 15th Motorized Brigade pressed its success on the Svatovo axis capturing several Ukrainian army strongpoints. Russian troops advanced by 1.5 kilometer deep into enemy defense lines.
20th Army 252nd and 752nd Motorized Rifle Regiments “Storm” units attacked the enemy after preparation fire and advanced by three kilometers deep into Ukrainian army defense lines west of the Zhitlovka settlement (LPR).
2nd and 41st Armies’ 21st and 35th Motorized Rifle Brigades suppressed manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 25th Airborne Brigade, 21st and 67th Mechanized Brigades, 100th Territorial Defense Brigade and Ukrainian National Guard’s 5th Operations Brigade in the areas of Torskoye and Yampolovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Novovodyanoye, Chervonaya Dibrova and Kremennaya in the Lugansk People’s Republic.
Enemy losses on the Krasny Liman axis amounted up to 90 servicemen, two infantry fighting vehicles, three armored fighting vehicles, three cars, one “Gvozdika” self-propelled howitzer and one D-30 howitzer, the Ministry said.
