Russian armed forces have killed about 125 Ukrainian servicemen on the Kupyansk and Krasny Liman axes over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.   “On the Kupyansk axis, Battle Group “West” artillery inflicted damage on Ukrainian army units in the areas of Timkovka in the Kharkov region and Novoselovskoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic,” the report said.  “A Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group was thwarted in the area of Sinkovka in the Kharkov region. Ukrainian army losses on this axis over the past 24 hours amounted up to 40 servicemen, three cars and one “Gvozdika” self-propelled howitzer.”   “On the Krasny Liman axis, Battle Group “Center” aircraft and artillery inflicted damage on enemy manpower in the areas of Chervonaya Dibrova and Kuzmino in the Lugansk People’s Republic and Yampolovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.   “Enemy losses amounted to more than 85 servicemen, two armored fighting vehicles, two pickups, one D-20 howitzer and one “Gvozdika” self-propelled howitzer,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.   Over the past 24 hours, air defense units destroyed eight Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of Inzhenernoye in the Zaporozhye region, Staromayorskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Kolomyichikha in the Lugansk People’s Republic and Veliky Vyselok and Petrovskoye in the Kharkov region.   The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.   President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation  on February 24, 2022 to protect Donbass residents from Ukrainian aggression. Prior to that, LPR and DPR Heads Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin asked the Russian leader to provide military assistance.   The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.  *i*ie
