The regional conference of the “United Russia” (ER) party has approved the election programs of ER candidates for the Republic’s parliament and local government bodies.

“United Russia” has actively joined the election campaign in the Republic, said LPR Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik.  It held more than 4,500 meetings with residents who shared their vision of the future of the region.

More than 50,000 proposals were submitted to the regional section of the party’s People’s Program. They reflect the problems which worry people the most, from road and street improvement to stable operation of industrial companies, Pasechnik said.

Senator from the LPR Darya Lantratova noted that the Republic’s residents had contributed an unprecedented number of recommendations.

Some proposals concerned environmental issues related to parking lots, waste disposal, recreation etc. “We’ve carried out tremendous analytical work; we’ve managed to create a balanced People’s Program. These are not just words, it is a list of facilities we’ll be working with. After the elections, we’ll have to control each facility to be built or repaired,” Lantratova said.

All the provisions of the United Russia’s federal programs apply to the new regions. They include the construction of new schools, repairs of operating social facilities, modernization of hospitals, kindergartens, community centers and sport infrastructure, comfortable urban environment, and renewal of the fleets of school buses and ambulances, she said.

ER General Council member Viktor Vodolatsky noted the population’s interest in regional development plans.

The United Russia program will attract investments and ensure effective work of development institutes, quick integration in the Russian economy and partnership ties between business people. “The population’s incomes will grow steadily,” Vodolatsky said.

Senator from the LPR Olga Bas said that LPR residents would monitor the implementation of the program.

ER Lugansk branch Secretary Denis Miroshnichenko said that the regional and municipal programs would be duly published.

The regional program was approved at the second stage of the party conference. The first stage took place in Lugansk on August 2.*i*sb
