The Lugansk People’s Republic government has approved a utility assistance procedure for more than 100,000 residents, LPR leader Leonid Pasechnik said.
“The document has been drawn in accordance with Russian laws,” Pasechnik wrote on Telegram.
The assistance program covers war veterans and their families, Chernobyl disaster and nuclear test victims and disabled persons, he said.
The compensation amounts to 50 percent of the cost of utility bills and will be calculated for each recipient on a case by case basis. “I hope that this benefit will be of much help to our residents,” Pasechnik said. *i*sb
