More than 15,000 people in the Lugansk People's Republic will be paid Victory Day benefits, said LPR Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik.
Earlier, the LPR government passed a resolution on paying one-time allowances in the runup to Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 to eligible recipients living in the Republic.
“I instructed the government to enlarge the categories of citizens entitled to lumpsum payments,” Pasechnik wrote on Telegram. “More than 15,000 LPR residents will get financial aid by the holiday.”
“Our ancestors’ feat and contribution to Great Victory is remembered and honored, so the state has to care about the people who gave a peaceful sky to the Motherland 78 years ago. It is our duty,” he said. *i*ie
