Some 160,000 residents of the Lugansk People’s Republic have taken part in the “United Russia” party (ER) preliminary voting to select candidates for the September election, said ER Lugansk branch secretary, LPR parliament speaker Denis Miroshnichenko.
At 18:00 on Sunday, ER completed voting which started on May 22.
“At least 42,000 LPR residents voted online,” the ER press service quoted Miroshnichenko as saying.

On March 7, 2023, the political council of the party’s regional branch launched preparations for primary voting. The party’s press service reported the start of voter registration on April 17. The registration ended on April 27; the information about the candidates is available on the party website.
Overall, 832 candidates were registered for “United Russia” primaries.
The primary voting organized by the “United Russia” political party (ER) will help the Lugansk People’s Republic build a candidate pool for all levels of government, said LPR Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik.
Central Election Commission chairperson Ella Pamfilova said that the CEC had been making scheduled preparations for elections on Single Voting Day on September 10. *i*ie
