3,100 LPR families get lost property compensations in 2022
Lugansk People’s Republic authorities paid lost property compensations to more than 3,100 families in the Republic last year, the LPR government press service reported.
“In 2022, 1,764 families received 100,000 rubles each in lumpsum compensations for the loss of essential property,” the press service said. “Lost home compensations were paid to 1,366 families last year and another 362 families received compensations for damaged homes.”
An LPR government resolution set the procedure for paying lumpsum compensations for the loss of essential property and damaged or ruined homes. The authorities also launched hotlines for consultations.
The LPR government earlier said that essential property included refrigerator, gas (electric) stove, cupboard, table, chairs, bed (sofa), TV set (radio), water pump, hot water appliance and boiler (if centralized water and heat supply is unavailable).
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014. The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
