Russian forces have repelled 19 attacks by Ukrainian troops on the Kupyansk axis over the past week; the Ukrainian army has lost more than 480 fighters, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
“On the Kupyansk axis, Task Force “West” units improved their forward positions in several areas and repelled 19 enemy attacks,” the report said. “Aircraft, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems defeated manpower and equipment of Ukraine’s 25th Airborne Brigade, 57th Motorized Infantry Brigade and 41st, 43rd and 60th Mechanized Brigades in the areas of Sinkovka, Ivanovka, Berestovoye and Peschanoye in the Kharkov region and Nevskoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic.
Ukrainian army losses amounted to more than 480 servicemen, three tanks, 13 armored fighting vehicles, 12 cars and seven field artillery pieces.
Over the past week, Russian air defense units shot down 224 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the special military operation zone including the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic, the Defense Ministry said.*i
