The Russian servicemen who defend the Lugansk People’s Republic borders have repelled 34 attacks by Ukrainian troops over the past week, fully containing their offensive operations along the whole frontline, said LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik.
“Over the past week, our military suppressed 16 land- and 18 air attempts by the enemy to attack the LPR territory,” Pasechnik said in a post on Telegram.
He said that seven Ukrainian army attacks were repelled in the Berestovoye-Pereyezdnoye area where Ukrainian army losses amounted to more than 40 people killed or wounded.
In the Novodruzhevsk-Grigorovka sector, Ukrainian armed formations lost up to 110 servicemen killed or wounded in five unsuccessful attempts to break through Russian defenses.
In the Volcheyarovka - Ivanovo-Daryevka sector, the enemy’s manpower losses reached over 80 in four failed attacks.
The Ukrainian army’ losses of weapons and military equipment reached 11 artillery pieces and mortars, eight recoilless guns, anti-tank missile systems, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers, nine cars, eight permanent fire positions, log emplacements, communications centers and field ammunition depots.
The enemy lost 28 unmanned aerial vehicles including quadcopters and “Krylo”-type UAVs in 18 attempts to cross into the LPR air space. “The combined actions of motorized infantry, reconnaissance groups, air defense crews and drone operators helped contained the offensive actions by Ukrainian forces along the whole frontline,” the LPR leader said.
