Ukrainian forces have lost about 90 servicemen on the Kupyansk and Krasny Liman axes over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
“On the Kupyansk axis, Task Force “West” units, supported by aircraft and artillery, inflicted damage on the enemy in the areas of Sinkovka in the Kharkov region and Novosyolovskoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic,” the report said. “The Ukrainian army lost up to 20 servicemen, two cars and one US-made M109 Paladin 155mm artillery piece.”
On the Krasny Liman axis, Task Force “Center” units, aircraft and artillery repelled three attacks by Ukrainian assault groups in the areas of Chervonaya Dibrova and Shipilovka in the LPR. Damage was inflicted on enemy manpower and equipment in the Serebryanka Forestry area.   “More than 75 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored fighting vehicles, two pickups and one D-30 howitzer were eliminated,” the Defense Ministry said.   Air defense units intercepted five Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles, four HIMARS projectiles and one anti-radiation missile HARM. Seventy-five Ukrainian drones were shot down including in the areas of Lisichansk and Golikovo (LPR), the Ministry said.   *** The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.   President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation on February 24, 2022 to protect Donbass residents from Ukrainian aggression. Prior to that, LPR and DPR Heads Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin asked the Russian leader to provide military assistance.*i
